Convert Your RSS Feeds to GIF Files

This is kind of a cool idea — convert RSS feeds to GIF files that update as the content of the feed updates. Check it out at RSS2GIF ( ).

Setting up the file is simply — just enter the URL of the feed you want as an image and a couple of options (the background color, etc). The site will give you a preview of what your image will look like and code for putting it on your own site (I have an example image below.) The images are clickable, but as far as I can tell they link just back to the main site of an RSS feed.

Neat. I can imagine if you had a situation where you didn’t want to use JavaScript, or if you wanted a very basic image for an RSS feed — like if you wanted to access a page via a cell phone — this could come in handy.
