I’ve mentioned earlier that I’ve been using IceRocket a lot lately for blog search. It doesn’t have an unlimited index of blogs, but it’s mostly splog-free and I like the way it sorts out the results. IceRocket also has several popularity and trending features. I’ve noticed but haven’t mentioned the Popular YouTube Videos, which measure the most popular YouTube videos by link count in the last 36 hours. (Warning, lots of these are not safe for work.)
There’s also a top movies list, which counts popularity by measuring the links to the IMDB, pretty smart (and again, it’s covering the last 36 hours.) This was an interesting list as it covered both really recent movies and movies that have been out for a long while (Batman Begins, Lost in Translation).
Icerocket gets more and more interesting.
