I am sure you’ve heard by now of Facebook’s PR campaign against Google. I AM SHOCKED I TELL YOU SHO– eh, not really.

YouTube now has a top 100 chart for music videos.

WordPress has released WordPress 3.2 Beta 1.

The Christian Science Monitor had an interesting article about a new search engine called Zanran, which is apparently for “semi-structured” data. Hmm. Must take a closer look at this one.

Google News for mobile has announced “News Near You.”

Facebook has added several security updates.

From Taipei Times: Online database on Dutch colonial period being built. Won’t be FINISHED finished until 2016, though.

From the University of Iowa: “University of Iowa Libraries has launched a new exhibition and digital collection to commemorate the sesquicentennial of the Civil War, and it’s enlisting the help of a few good men and women (well, lots, really) to help make the collection even more accessible and useful.”

Wha?.. Amazon’s cloud server used to attack Sony? The story makes it clear that it was an AWS account but my first thought upon hearing about this was “Wow, that must have been one heck of a Mechanical Turk job.” Good morning, Internet…
