Ireland, YouTube, Zeekly, More – Saturday Morning Buzz, September 14, 2013

Saturday fun: What have folks in Ireland been Googling for over the last ten years?

Nice one Harvard Law School Library! It’s offering a new guide to finding public domain and Creative Commons images.

A nice roundup of power search hints for Twitter.

The YouTube Player has been updated.

BoingBoing has a cool post about a new online collection of maps from when California was considered to be an island.

Yahoo has updated its Answers property. What a great move. I’m surprised at how often I search for things and end up at Yahoo Answers.

Phil Bradley reviewed the search engine Zeekly the other day and had some concerns, and Zeekly responded. I love when search engines do this. Thanks for sharing, Phil.

The DoE and EPA have teamed up to create a Web site that provides the fuel economy of used cars. But it goes a step further – it creates a label that you can use online and off if you’re selling a used car. Nice!

The Delaware Art Museum has received a federal grant for an online collection. Good morning, Internet…

I love your comments, I love your site suggestions, and I love you. Feel free to comment on the blog, or @ResearchBuzz on Twitter. Thanks!
